I am not sure that I understand the problem.   My 84 wolfsburg has vent
windows and they rotate almost 180 degrees.  That is, from latched and
closed to almost completly closed again but backwards.
I have also been told that they are the same as the rabit vent windows, and
thus interchangeable.

-Are the vent windows different on newer models?
-can the older windows be installed in their place?
-If so there won't be trouble finding the pieces.
