I don't know if the vent shades not fitting is related or not, but I have had
problems with accessories that fit European Vanagons that won't fit the US
models.

Specifically, I know that the dash is different between the later US and Euro
models, and I ran into a problem with a grey water tank that won't fit either.

I'm surprised that there is such a difference between the models and wonder if
anyone knows what all the differences are so I can avoid ordering the wrong
non-fitting parts in the future.
