Hi Volks,
    VW makes some spacers for our vans that go between the coils and the
body.  I bought a couple and plan to put them above  the left rear coil on
my 86 westy to level it.  It has 247K miles and the left rear coil seems to
have relaxed  a bit and it goes down the road with a slight list to port.
You guys didn't know I spent 4 years in the usn.  Each spacer is about 1 cm
thick.  These spacers appear they would be easy to make from a quarry
conveyor belt, tire,   or some similar hard rubber or nylon bushings  as
Larry Johnson mentions.
