FYI Slick-50 is the butt end of a class action law suit. Something about not actually having any real data to back up their claims, and the "independent" labs that "tested" the junk didn't really exist. I know this because I sent in a $3.00 refund card for slick-50 and a few months later got a registered piece of mail from some lawyer saying I was part of a class action lawsuit. Took me a few beers to get the courage up to open the letter though... take care Matthew 84 Weekender that is about to embark on a long road trip 67 Bug that sits fallow in the driveway > -----Original Message----- > From: KBatzler [SMTP:KBatzler@EMAIL.MSN.COM] > Sent: Tuesday, November 17, 1998 8:32 PM > To: vanagon@VANAGON.COM > Subject: Re: Warning against engine additives! was: Strange Noise > Fixed, I think > > Hi Ken, > The stuff I added is an oil detergent....I wouldn't even think of adding > anything with Teflon or slick 50 or anything thick.
