Volks, I plan on replacing the waterpump on my 85 Westy GL (75k miles) over the Thanksgiving vacation (one of its gaskets is leaking). What are the benefits of using an 80 vs 86 (stock) degree thermostat? I ordered the 80 degree one thinking cooler is better. Does anyone care to comment on this. TIA.
