my 82 diesel has been shifting very strangely the last few days, here are
the symptoms: It is hard to shift into 1st and second gears, but not with
any regularity. I can be driving along and shifting just fine then all of a
sudden it will start acting up, like the clutch has suddenly stopped
working. Occasionally, when I come to a stop light and depress the clutch
pedal the car will continue to travel forward, still in gear.

The clutch disc, pressure plate and t/o bearing are all fairly new, I
haven't heard any strange sounds from the tranny, I'm completely stumped.
Any suggestions?
