Folks -

My transparent stone guards (the clear strips just in front of the rear
tires) are a mess and I have been unable to remove them.  I want to replace
them, or get rid of them all together - they're cracked and so forth, but
the paint underneath looks fine.  I've tried everything - and nothing seems
to dissolve them or make them bubble up so I can peel them off.  Any ideas?
