I have an '86 Syncro with a bad transmission which I want to get on the road but I can't invest the bucks for a rebuild at this time. I also have a wrecked '80 Vanagon. Will the '80 transmission bolt up to the 86 syncro engine as a temporary interim measure? Tim Timothy Pensacola, FL.
