Thanks to all for the advice and good karma on my grad school road trip. My 84 weekender was great; no problems what-so-ever...except when i left the lights on... But anyways, i went north from San Jose CA to Pullman WA, east to Bozeman Montana and south to SLC UT then across 80 to Reno and then back to San Jose. 3100 miles in 9 days. The weather was cooperative, lots of rain, but little snow. I had to strap on the chains (on the tyres!) for one pass, proceeded to break a chain and ding and dig the crap out of a fender :-( The only problem on the trip was the rig seemed to run a bit cold. It wouldn't get out of the little white part of the temp gauge. I switched the lever on the rear heater core, but it didn't appear to help the problem. Thanks and happy Bus'n matthew
