I have been junk yarden quite-a-bit since I bought my 90 Westy. I have come accross a few yards with Vanagons ( which I will post to you when I get back down to the Border and pick up the list of all yards in that area). The one that stands out is Beetle Mania (619) 661-7170 941 Heritage Rd. San Diego, Ca. 92173. THIS IS A WAY COOL PLACE!!! Alot of Vanagons and Campers. Will talk to you soon. Chris Lovelace HM1(AW)/AD/USN 90 Westy YES, I'm still searching for the "elusive" high-roof top for my vanagon. In the process I've probably called 30 or so VW oriented salvageyards from Cali to Arkansas and everywhere in between. In doing so I have developed quite an extensive list of names, locations, and phone #'s which I would be more than happy to provide to any fellow listees searching for that "special" part. My goal (besides finding my top) (EVERYONE KEEP THEIR EYES OPEN FOR ME!!!) is to have a list of every decent VW salvage yard in North America. So...if anyone knows of a locals favorite yard, repair shops, collectors-Anyone with a substantial amount of bus/vanagon parts...Please e-me with their name, location, contact person if you have one,and phone # so I can add them to my list, (and of course call them about my top)! Particularly any Canadian resources, since I'm not having much luck in the U.S. (don't know the exact figures for VW's imported to canada but I've heard there's quite a few up there) When it's done I can post the results to the list if everyone's interested) Thanks Again!!!
