Lately the brake light on my dash in my '80 vanagon has been coming on
somewhat randomly.  Sometimes it comes on when I depress the brake
pedal, sometimes it doesn't.  it has even come on a couple of times
when I'm just cruising along.  I realize that this probably indicates
a short, and I haven't noticed any change in braking performance, but
should I check for other possibilities?  WHere should I begin my check?
