Hi VW heads... Heres the thing.... Checked my coolant for strength the other day good down to -40C, but the gauge tells me its methanol based antifreeze, not etylene glycol. Is the VW G11 coolant methanol based, or has somebody put an unusual(Old fashioned) mixture in? Plus how is methanol as regards the dreaded VW engine corrosion problem?
