I asked Ron & David to keep this feature and a lot of others liked it too. Numerous people responded that "all"/ "almost all"/ "all major" email systems allow convenient email filtering capabilities. I think this just isn't so. I don't see how to do this with AOL. Not that I'd recommend AOL, but it's what I got, and it is certainly "major" (#1 perhaps?). Also the email system at my office doesn't allow this filtering either. I think we should get rid of digest mode! I'm tired of seeing message subjects like: "Re: vanagon Digest - 13 Dec 1998 to 28 Dec 1998" What the heck good is a subject like that? There were 1,000 messages in that time period! Is the message behind the subject worth reading? Should I delete it w/o opening it? It's a big guessing game! O.K. My flame suit is on. Go ahead! Regards, Jim Davis
