Hello Vlach, It sounds as if the buyer obtained a used auto loan. I say this because usually a bank will cut a check for whatever the loan amount is for on a personal loan. Letting someone drive out of state and then give you money, I for one would not let this happen. Not to be nasty, but to CMA! If there is an accident what then? Who pays for mechanical failures? Lesser things have caused bigger problems. I would suggest that the buyer get the money from a "bridge" source (friend, get a personal loan) pay it off, whatever, but I would have $$$ in hand before they left with my signed title. Which they won't have the original of anyway here in PA. Propose this to the buyer #1 first before they come down. An intelligent person will understand your requirements. Entertain Buyer #2 in the mean time and sell to the first one with cash in hand. Do not become a banker!
