I mounted 3 VDO gauges (oil temp, oil press, voltage) on top of the dash,
between the dash "pod" and the ashtray. They are mounted in VDO "cups" and
brackets, angled towards my line of sight (the bracket/cup assembly allows
some up and down adjustment, left and right adjustment is fixed after you
screw the bracket to the dash). The wires lead out from the back of the
cups (facing the windshield) and then on down a hole in the dash top. I
think it looks quite good, they are certainly very visible.
