In the Syncro the bottom part slants upwards (making the gauges tilt upwards) and in the 2WD they would face downwards. However in the 2WD you can also use part of the straight top portion of the console. In the Syncro there is interference with the differential switch. When installing take the console out (it is hooked in left and right) to determine the best spot for instruments. It is an great location for Voltage and Oil temp gauges because there is no visual interference with night driving and it has a finished look. I also mounted an VDO RPM gauge on the dash to the right of the instrument cluster. Bjrn Bjrn Ratjen, Ph.D. Mill Bay, B.C. Canada ph/fax (250) 743-7575
