I replaced my seal several years ago with a kit from (wait for it).....

Worked fine and used non-ferrous clips imbedded in the portion that
grips (it was the rusting clips that made my original unsightly).  I
can't remember if the replacement was an exact (shape) match of the
original seal.  The replacement had a rubber tube-like section bonded to
the part that clips.  The tube squishes down to make a tight seal when
the top is attached to the brackets.
