Intermittent "cutting out" on you 87 may be one of sereval things. I would
check them in this order:

1. Wiring to fuel pump.
2. Fuel pump. If the problem gets progressively worse, pump probably needs
replaced.
3. Air flow meter.
4. Computer.
5. Wiring to ignition switch.
