Dave points out something that no one can deny about his
driving habits.  But I still argue that he's overstating his
case against diesels when he says, "frankly, by the time
realize that I need gas, I have about 5 minutes before the
car conks out due to lack of fuel.  5 cylinder Audi turbo
(gasser) is the way to go, IMHO."

Dave, if you had an I-5 diesel instead of an I-5 gasser,
you'd have a full robust 7 1/2 minutes instead of a mere 5
minutes before it conked out. <G>
