Errrrr, wrong! The Volvo diesels are a VW unit, but not the same unit as the
Audi 5-cyl. The Volvo/VW unit is a SIX-cylinder unit, and was the main choice of
engine in the LT-series. So, if any of you need a 6-cyl VW diesel, just look
under the hood of any Volvo diesel car. In fact, look closely at the parts and
part numbers, VW stampings are everywhere! (At least in the '86 740 D6 I looked
at once)

The diesels offered in the 850 TDIs are 5-cyl Audi units though, the same 140 hp
as the Audi 100, but I'm not sure if you ever got 850 TDIs over there.
