You know that chrome molding in the groove of the rubber around all the windows on the earlier Vanagons. Mine is totally rusted and nasty looking. Can I just remove it all and leave the exposed groove in the rubber? Any long term damage to the rubber? I could buy all new rubber, but it's pricey for me. Any ideas? Thanks in advance...
