As a former NAPA sales rep I can tell you that the Gold line of filters is as
good as aftermarket filters get. They use an excellant paper stock, the proper
drain back valves, and a good grade if steel for a solid shell. I have cut
apart hundreds of filters in doing demos and never had anyone find fault with
our products. NAPA also has access to Beck now which gives them even more
coverage for Vanagon parts. A real plus is if they dont have something they
are overnight away 99% of the time and they back it with 6300 stores nation
wide. One hint also...take in some cookies to the counter people and they are
