I'm not sure how many states besides these out west Discount Tire has retail stores in, but, despite the "discount" look and feel these guys know their tires. I have two vehicles that require tires that only that vehicle uses (Range Rover and Vanagon) and Discount knew what I needed as soon as I said the name of the vehicle. When something like this happens with a European car it's a pretty sure bet Michelin makes it, although in the case of Vanagons so does Continental, but its quality is #2 in this group. It's not likely you'll see Vanagon tires in mail order ads as the cost of the space doesn't justify it, but both Tire Rack and Discount (they mail order as well) know what MXs are (they're not the Jimmy Carter missle).
