Still trying to get my 88' Vanagon staight.....
Had a problem with the tach shooting up to 3000 rpm's and dropping to
near shut off then taching back up again.I had alot of response from the
list GREATLY appriciated,Now we've changed the wires( coil wire feel
apart upon taking off!) cleaned all connections,tried to adjust
idle.Whats happening now is it's staying up at 2000 rpm's any
suggestions would be great.
 Also have a purple hose connected to  the throttle body, aprox 2 years
ago one end came off and motor was running at rough idle ,NOW if you
disconnect it does nothing could this be one of my problems that
something there is not working or clogged and is causing this ????
