Thanks to my local Montana VW parts supplier I was able to obtain the
following:

The PN for the Bosch 90 Amp Alternator is: 034 903 015D

They come off of various vehicles like the Golf and Jetta. They are $35 from
local used auto parts location and come with a thirty day warranty.

With this alternator the upgrade should only be the wire.
