I was considering that type of soldering iron, but I was worried about the presence of a flame near flammable vapours. Does the fact that it has catalytic elements mean that it is safer (ie: low enough temp so that it will not cause ignition of vapours?) I want to use it to install the capacitor fix especially, and that is, of course, in the engine compartment. Cheers!
