As long as you don't weld teeth on it, you're safe.

Eric, I did virtually that after my Jeep got rear ended for the third time.
I bought these big plate steel bumpers (front and back) from a company in
CO. I feel very sorry for anyone who hits me....again. B/C these bumpers
are...Very big, Very hard, and Very legal.
