I managed to construct a pair of rubber boots for the E-code vanagon rectangle lights. I bought two rubber pipe-like fittings ... reducers with a hose clamp over each end. $5 each. They are about 6" long...and have to be shortened about 3/4". One end fits, with a little work, over the bulb/socket area, and you can hose-clamp it for extra secureness. The other end is smaller. I cut some inner tube and used marine goop rubber sealant, and then basically hose-clamped this diaphram-like "lid" over the small end where the wires will come out....sealing between the tube and reducer with the goop...all of which is held in place by a hose clamp. I cut a small hole in the inner tube top for the wires, which I sealed with goop, and then taped over it with 3M electirical tape. It is sturdy, air tight and total cost was about $18. At least i can use them now! And still glad David was able to get them. steve
