Every door handle lock cylinder on the van (as well as the ignition
cylinder) has the key code stamped on it, from which the dealer will make
you a key for about $5. Just remove a handle and take it to your local VW
dealer. The rear hatch lock cylinder is particularly easy to remove, as is
the sliding door handle.  The glovebox and gas cap cylinders may lack a key
code.
