Subject:AC Compressor
From:Killer Banshee Productions - Kriss De Jong

L.B. (91 Vanagon GL) got a checkup today and she needs a new AC compressor.
I had the shop look into why the AC wasn't working, know the shop is
reliable etc etc.

How much is realistic for replacing this...the price they gave me was $1400
parts and labor.

Is an AC compressor something you want to get new, or can you get one
rebuilt or used. Is it advisable? (How likely is failure sooner than with a
new one?)

On a happier note, everything else is in tip top shape.

Those of you that deal in VW parts on the list feel free to email me
privately about one of these you might have on hand and for what price etc.

Cheers,

Kriss
