Hello everyone,

I recently took a 180 mile trip and exhibited the following problem.  About
an hour into the trip the van began to stumble as if it were running out of
gas.  This would continue for several miles then mysteriously disappear.
This continued all the way home so I went straight to the VW dealer.  They
said that the symptoms sound like a FI problem but since it is intermittent
I should leave it with them for several days which to me sounded like $$$!
I have read much about the AFM capacitor fix, but what type of symptoms does
this mod fix and will it help my situation?  If it is possibly the FI system
what test can I do to verify that this is the case?  All suggestions
welcome.
