Hello Scott,

Diesel '82 Van with a DZ trans suffix?  Thats factory stock.
'82's are one year only VW factory diesel powered with a
3 rib 002 trans maincase.  Sounds like the P.O. swapped
in a gas motor for the diesel when it finally gave out.
