There is a table with approved towing loads wich are
approved by German TUV and allowed by VW for
vehicles licensed in Germay.

I tried to offer that table on web, but there are some
link failures inside the selection table. But you will
find your way using the 'Next' button.

The  Vanagon in US are usually Type 253, as the
Syncros are ???-299.
