Folks,

    I want to share with you the resolution to the 8 second increment surge(?).... It turned out to be the Coolant temp sensor.

    The part was $32.60 plus tax. and 5 minutes of my labor and I have a smooth running happy bus [ ppl-mvr ] 
    I have already begun to noticed a change in the mileage on the 30+ mile drive home.  I'll know the mileage more accurately after my commute tomorrow... 
    Looks like there might be plans for a summer trip to Oregon this season with the kids.  :0)
