I just spoke with a guy in NE Pennsylvania that salvages late model VW's,
asking what interesting new items he might have. Well, he has a 'brand new'
1.8 turbo with the harness and computers, 700 miles(!) for $3500. Also, he
has a 5 cyl. Audi Turbodiesel with 70 K on it, and almost always has a 2.0
Golf/Jetta around. Some great buys for giving your Vanagon a new lease on
