I would enjoy hearing about the Carat side-table
installation, as well.

I did a brief search of the Archives some months ago and
discovered a "post-to -the-List" indicating that after this
person (unknown to me) installed the Carat side-table, their
z-bed /seat bumped into the table (while the table was in
the closed position).  So, I asked K.Wilfy to measure the
long width of his 91 Carat z-bed/seat. His measurement was
"5 feet exactly".  Hmm. My 91 GL has a z-bed/seat with a
long width of " 5 feet, 1 inch".

I find it hard to believe that VW would manufacture two
different z-bed/seat  widths, but apparently so!

But the proof is in the installation, so let me know how the
Carat side-table goes!
