I recently installed a turbo diesel in a vanagon westy with a
significant increase in power.  I currently I have a 5-speed gear box as
the vanagon was purchased in Germany and probably had something to do
with that.  I found a '80 vanagon gas engine in a yard with a 5-speed
in, how would this gearing setup work coupled to my turbo diesel?  Or is
there any gearing available that would better coupled with the turbo
diesel setup?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
