I was catching up on my vanagon reading and saw
some replies to a thread started by Dana E Hager
<dehager@IX.NETCOM.COM>.  Several years ago my '84
Vanagon was cutting out intermittently and finally
stopped completely.  The problem was cured by a
suggestion made by the BCAA tow truck operator to
replace the fuses.  All fuses passed a continuity
check, but replacing them fixed the problem.
