Dear list members:

I have been told that my differential is probably the
"suspect" in my syncro's vibration problem under load.
Although the vibration is much reduced after removal of
the driveshaft, it does remain.  Because of all my work,
my own suspects were a) uneven engine b) clutch and c)
transaxle.  I feared the last most.

One local vw van "expert" drove my car with and without
drive shaft and believes my problem to be in the
differential...

So

1) Anybody know where I can get a used transaxle for
   my car.

2) Anybody fix their own syncro transaxle?  How hard
   is it?

3) Advice is always welcome!
