I've seen more than one live-in vehicle fitted with a wood stove.  Most
recently, there was an older guy from Oklahoma at Buses by the Arch in
Sept. 97 who had a splitty with a wood stove and chimney.  It's not
something I would be likely to do, but he seemed happy with it.
