I think God invented electricity...or was it Thomas Edison? Bosch brought
to industrial scale the Haber-Bosch process for manufacturing ammonia
(which allowed Germany in WWI to continue manufacturing explosives even
though her access to nitrates was blockaded.  Would have been a lot shorter
war otherwise).
