Hi guys,

My wife just got back from a 1500km round trip up the coast
yesterday in our '92 Wasserboxer and mentioned that on
the return leg while travelling at about 120 kph the battery
light suddenly glowed on of a few seconds then went off again.

It only happened the once but this has never occurred previously.
The vehicle has 145,000kms on the clock (we've owned it from
new) and has the original alternator and even the original VW battery.

Is this an early indicator of something to be aware of (like the
battery finally getting near it's useful life?)
Any opinions,speculative or otherwise gratefully received...
