I'm not sure of the make of the moonroof. The glass is 16" x 33". I think it's a pretty standard item that any decent aftermarket sunroof company would have. You can either tilt it up or take out the glass completely by just undoing a couple of clips. I recommend the plastic sunshade that you can get for them; it can be clipped in place during the summer as it can get hot even with the tinted glass - you can still open the roof with the sunshield in place. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com]On Behalf Of Rob & Lrae Winterkorn Sent: Thursday, April 15, 1999 3:06 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: What is THAT thing Graham Challis wrote: > As the proud owner (since new) of a 1990 GL auto Countryhomes Camper > Conversion I thought I'd let the list know a bit about it and why we picked > it over the Westfalia. > > It has a pop-up moonroof up front which I really like (I didn't really want > it when I bought it but they kind of insisted and afterwards I realized that > it was probably easier to stick in a moonroof than to fix the headliner > where the front part of the A/C was removed). Graham, I would be very interested in knowing more about the moon roof. Do you know who manufactures it? Also the size.
