I have successfully used 'JB Weld' for this application for years with success. Even with larger holes. If the 'weld' tries to slip inside the hole, cover the hole with a piece of masking tape just large enough to cover the hole. Then coat the area with JB Weld. Let dry for 24 hours, its good to go. You can expand your uses of JB Weld for almost anything. It is great stuff! In my Dodge Cummins repair manual, it even lists JB Weld as an application for use in field operations in third world countries where parts are scarce . . . HKS
