Ok, got a few replies to my Bridgestone tires, here's the info. BTW, I
looked for several months for a tire specifically made for the Vanagon and
Bridgestone was the only one that made them specifically for the Vanagon.
They were in the commercial truck tire section of the catalog. I purchased
them at a Navy Exchange store, but they buy from a local dealer. The tire
should be available at any dealer that sells Bridgestone or Firestone
tires... same company? The tire is Bridgestone RD603 Steel #603VN LT195
75R14 8 ply radial rated at 1710 lbs at 65psi. they do have the 185R14, but
the store that I went to said that Hawaii was out of stock and I didn't want
wait any longer.
