PO said that vacuum line isn't working and key doesn't cut it ... is there any other way to get in? Vehicle is in good shape all electrical seats working great engine sounds great .. almost seems a shame. Transmission needs adjustment or fix (it was replaced recently PO says that there may be "grit" on rings???? what do I know.. I'm the wife) won't shift to high gear but Detlev says not to worry 2nd at 55 won't hurt it getting it up to his place when we are ready. PO gave us some extra parts for it... Do any of the Audi parts fit the Vanagon? I heard something about the clock once and the syncro clock is bad (it keeps running through all the numbers in the hour spot) >> the PO must have just given you the valet key. ask him for the main key. the valet key wont open the trunk or glovebox. are you sure you're opening the lock right? turn key to the right, and push the button. never heard of "grit on the rings". :<) no audi parts will fit your van tho, you could prolly adapt those power seats if youre bored :<) the reason your vanagon clock is constantly cycling is that your little button is jammed in too far, (somebody got alittle too overzealous with the ballpoint pen, eh?) and got stuck behind the plastic face panel. easy fix. chris
