Speaking from a position of almost total ignorance I think you can mount a sub-woffer almost anywhere you can find space because they are non-directional; sounding the same no matter where the sound is coming from. Dont take my word for it but I believe it's true. If so it would widen the mounting possibilities. I heard that a while back when I was thinking of installing a "fancy" stereo in the Westy. After shopping around and listening to a bunch of systems that all sounded to me just like the "El-Cheapo" I have now; I came to the happy and considerably less expensive conclusion that I am a tin-eared Philistene and decided to keep the junk I have For once I had the budget to match my taste. ----- Original Message ----- From: Otmar Ebenhoech <Otmar@EVCL.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Friday, April 23, 1999 7:50 PM Subject: Re: Stereo sounds: a little more bass? > At 12:35 AM -0700 4/23/99, Austin wrote: > >At 08:44 AM 4/22/99 -0700, you wrote: > >>Has anyone come up with a good way to add a subwoofer to their Westy without > >>creating irreversible damage to their upholstery or sheet metal?
