My wife and I were pricing out new rubber for our '83 h2o westy, and when
the service rep mentioned the 80,000 km tread warranty she called it ,rather
sarcastically, a lifetime warranty ,implying that the tires would outlive
the vanagon.  Granted the bus has 323,000kms on it now but I thought that
comment was way out of line, I'm of the opinion that our busses can last
forever (or somewhere near) So I put this out to you folks- please post the
highest number of km or miles you or somebody you know personally(no bus
myths) has milked from one of our fine machines.  Looking forward to showing
the wife that our beloved westy is only middle age.  thanks.  Jim
