Subject:anti-sway bar

Volks,
OK, showing my ignorance here.....some time back, somebody talked about adding an anti-sway bar to their Westy to stop the body roll. I was talking with a know-it-all mechanic friend who only works on domestics and he was making fun of my Westy and telling me "if its a decent vehicle in that weight category it would come with one from the factory". Being less then a master mechanic myself, and unfamiliar with this bar I don't know #1 if it came stock on all Westys, #2 what one looks like, #3 where its mounted, #4 exactly how it works, #4 front or rear or both, #5 where to buy one if I need one (somebody said JC Whipme but I'm not finding one there). Can anybody help a clueless owner like me out?
