On a similar note...

        At Wilson's Salvage in Lexington, OK (10 acres of VWs and Audis)...
in the front of his store is a Beetle with an extremely large V8 engine in
it... WITH A SUPER CHARGER ON IT!  Somehow I don't think it gets driven very
much but it looks really wild.  There's a Beetle Limo there too made from 2
bugs.

        Incidentally, Wilson's had a bunch of Vanagons in the yard when I was
last there 5 years ago.  I know they're listed on Yahoo Yellow pages....
could be a good source of parts as the ship nationwide.
